Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued five guidance documents to help importers and food producers meet key food safety provisions mandated by the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

The state leads and extension partners have been working to address topics that were identified by the Needs Assessment. They are developing educational add on materials- videos, fact sheets, and extension publications- to address the areas that growers felt least confidant implementing.
